Part 5 of 8 in the CAHAM curanderismo workshop series, featuring guest instruction from L.A. native healer Lanette Díaz! Students will learn the basics of working with the air element and the direction of the North (Mictlampa), including air-associated herbs; how to make an air-element incense blend; and how to perform traditional sound and wind limpias.

Join ecological herbalist and founder of Albuquerque Herbalism Dara Saville; death doula and INELDA instructor Kim Stravers; and curandero and death scholar Jesús Cuauhtémoc Villa on an educational walking meditation on what nature and medicinal plants can teach us about navigating the cycle of life, loss, grief, and rebirth.

Part 6 of 8 in the CAHAM curanderismo workshop series. Students will learn the basics of working with the Sacred Feminine, lunar energies, and Mother Earth (Tonantzin Tlalli), herbs for women's health, the ihiyotl, and a traditional egg and broom barrida (sweeping cleansing) for susto (fright sickness) and soul retrieval.

Part 7 of 8 in the CAHAM curanderismo workshop series. Students will learn the basics of working with the Sacred Masculine. Father Sun (Tonatiuh), and Father Sky (Tonacatecuhtli), the tonalli, herbs for men's health, and a traditional cortalazos (cord-cutting) ritual for severing and clearing out negative, harmful energies.

The final workshop in the CAHAM curanderismo series, featuring guest instruction from Doña Patricia Federico! Learn the basics of working with the Center of the Medicine Wheel (Xictlampa) in traditional Chicano & Mexican curanderismo. Students will learn to find and heal el pulso for cutting negative energetic ties; heal Heart & Spirit; and participate in a closing ceremony.
